The Human Rights Dialogue
with Vietnam: Is Vietnam Making Significant Progress?
(Over
59,000 Honorable Americans Died Trying To Save These Human Rights.)
I'm also sure that the United States Senate and
Congress will not surrender the basic human rights of the Vietnamese People ( A Second Time In Less Than 40 Years) just
to have another good trading partner and possible future military ally.
The Vietnamese People have not voted in a real government election since 1974, when
the United States Congress shutoff American support to the South Vietnamese People.
(That's 32 years of no Freedoms.)
December 13, 1974 - North Vietnam violates the Paris Peace Treaty and tests President Ford's
resolve by attacking Phuoc Long Province in South Vietnam. President Ford responds
with diplomatic protests but no military force in compliance with the Congressional ban on all U.S. military activity in Southeast Asia.
December 18, 1974 - North Vietnam's leaders meet in Hanoi to form a plan for final victory.
1975 January 8, 1975 - NVA general
staff plan for the invasion of South Vietnam by 20 divisions
is approved by
North Vietnam's Politburo. By now,
the Soviet-supplied North Vietnamese Army is the fifth largest in the
world. It anticipates a two year struggle for victory. But in reality,
South Vietnam's forces will collapse
in only 55 days.
Currently, Religious Freedom is another daily battle that the Vietnamese People must
face each day. There is no freedom, yet the people still believe very much in their spiritual beliefs. If
they get caught honoring their beliefs, they are punished.
Freedom of the Press is currently just a dream.
It's been a very longtime, since the Vietnamese People had any human rights.
Your member of the U.S. Congress and your two, state U.S. Senators have the means to finally help return Human Rights
to the Vietnamese People of Today... And this time, there are no bullets. And no one is getting
hurt.
Let the healing really BEGIN...
Please call or write your Congressman or Congresswoman, and
U.S. Senators and ask them not to sellout the basic human rights of the Vietnamese People.
